 OUR MISSION

Kids Reading Book in Park

Our mission is to help low income, struggling students with learning and attention issues succeed in school so that they are able to graduate high school. Our goal for them is to obtain the skills and confidence necessary to help them move forward, attend college and earn a living wage.

Every child starts off wanting to succeed in school. Unfortunately, 1 in 5 children in the United States have learning and attention issues, but only a few are formally identified with a disability in school, according to a report done by the National Center for Learning Disabilities.  Many of these students are slipping through the cracks in the school system.  Some do not graduate or go to college leaving them unprepared to earn a living wage. Some studies have shown that failure to address attention and learning problems leads to students being incarcerated.

We are committed to making a difference in the lives of students by addressing these issues early on. With our intense one-on-one programs we target the root of learning problems by increasing a student's cognitive skills which are the core skills needed for learning. These skills include attention, memory, processing speed, visual and auditory processing, logic and reasoning. When these skills are strong learning becomes faster and easier. We also train students how to renew their minds from a failing/negative mindset to a positive/successful mindset and we teach them vital life principles for success. By training students how to renew their minds we are helping them to become self confident and teaching them how to motivate themselves during the struggles. When students learn vital success principles for life they have the opportunity to become all they can be.

Each sponsored student receives:

  • A cognitive skills assessment

  • 36-50 hours of one-on-one specialized training

  • A post cognitive skills assessment

  • Positive Mindset Training

  • Success Principles for Life Training

We know that all of these components are necessary to help struggling students succeed. We are committed to changing lives one student at a time.
